The Jonses

I ain't got time to keep up with the Jones'
I barely have time to live my life
But please understand I drank a little potion
And from now on the time is gonna fly
We can all be so sleepy sometimes
So down by the river I will lay my head
Other times I hear the music call my name
Come walk with me through this crazy scene
While the wolf boy howls at the american dream
I ain't got time for hangin' with the Jones'
Sit around and chat about the Wilson's oldest son
It seems to me that life is for living
Gonna pack up my bags go hit another one
After all you never know which way the wind blows
These people think that nothing's gonna change
Don't forget to give my regards to the Jones'
Please let them know everything worked out fine
Spending my days kickin' it in the hot sun
Let it be known this life ain't for everyone
After all you never know which way the wind blows
These people think that nothing's gonna change

High Ground

East man, west man, do you all abide
Clearly yearly all goes by and by
Take your bucket to the well 'til it all runs dry
Take my bones to the river and let me lie
Right hand, left hand, reaching on a climb
Shaking bones amplified by the mind
The music plays on and on into the night
Whispering in your ear to catch the light
Staring from the higher ground while the wave rolls back
At this time I want this as my last point of view
Let these thoughts float away in a giant tidal wave
Nothing left to lose
Ghostly whispers trapped in time
Voices of reason quickly dying on the vine
Buried in their graves and buried alive
The earth is our cage and no one survives
Question answers and where to place the blame
Simply hearing what they have to say
Is it our fault that we became this way
Is it too late for us to make a change

Goodbyes

When.....it's time to get my self together
Is always….when I seem to fall apart
I wish you....could come along for this journey
But this path.... is one I must walk alone
So now it's time to say goodbye
When I want to hold you in my arms
And to think this time we've had together has come to an end
Is the only place left to start
Or maybe....this is not how it's meant to be
But you know....these thoughts are a waste of time
Just remember....what it is that makes you laugh out loud
'Cause these things....tell you who you truly are
And I know I need you around me
To remind me of who I am
'Cause without you I can only think of you
And dream about that time....we....shared and wait for a day we can all get together
When.....it's time to get my self together
Is always….when I seem to fall apart
I wish you....could come along for this journey
But this path.... is one I must walk alone
And I know I need you around me
To remind me of who I am
'Cause without you I can only think of you
And dream about that time....we....shared and wait for a day we can all get together

Crimes

If there is a purpose, not sure what it takes to make it change
Calamity and justice must be notwithstanding the deranged
As the leaves will fall our dreams may crawl as we listen to november rain
It's the words we spoke when we first awoke hearing sounds that we could not explain
I hear it saying who, who, will fall
It's saying who, who will call....and have I gone insane.
It might be this moment
It could be the past
But it's right here and it's right now
It could be fading fast
Pouring our hearts into everything
Couldn't mean more than life
So precious and coveted
Thoughts dripping off the sky
With each year that passes, a chance to help ourselves has been lost
And all of this humanity does not come without a cost
As the four winds shift our thoughts may drift to what we imagine to be more simple times
It's like we question today, tomorrow's change confined by crimes of the times
I hear it saying who, who, will fall
It's saying who, who will call....and have I gone insane.
So we take this moment
Try if we can to make it last
Right now we are not so different
No more living in the past
All that we sing about is what we are
And you say it isn't right
So are we to question everything
That makes us love this life

Get Back Home
04:53

Everyday the sun will rise people look up towards you
You have not seen where I'm from and I don't even know you
Take a look at where we are feels just like a shooting star
It's right there above you, it's right there above you
As I sit beside the water my heart it beats right through me
Standing in the pouring rain my darkest fears surround me
When I hear them call my name, the ones that love will feel the pain
Is anybody beside me, and is somebody behind me
Now go get free
Live your life as it's meant to be
Wake up and dream
Please won't somebody help me get back home
Is the force that brought us here part of some master plan
I have heard to tell the future look what's in your hand
If it's empty fill it up, raise mu head and fill my cup
For we are each other, for we are one another
Now go get free
Live your life as it's meant to be
Wake up and dream
Please won't somebody help me get back home

Crumbs

Looking up at a moon lit sky I have to wonder where my place lies.
Plans come together and plans turn to crumbs, falling down fast lost in the rug
And within each morsel hides a universe, holding its place surrounding the earth.
So many people will come and go. I hope they all know that I love them so.
My memory is like a patchwork quilt with too many patches to decipher the seams
I’m trying to weave the threads of time moving through space so bright and so clean.
While my heart is still beating deep inside my chest
I can't control this world no more or no less
And I'll take my time to figure out the rest
And let these memories disappear in the depths
And as the night grows everybody knows the pieces of a dream we’ll always hold.
The thoughts in my mind tell me everything's is fine I’ve got to keep moving down the long winding road.
My footprints tell a tale the wind shall blow. Can you move a little faster you’re moving so slow.
Jump into the world so high. Step back and watch the fantastic lights.
Make this moment reach clear inside, step into the sun as you step into the tide.
The waves roll to shore the waves crash at you feet, once in a while it’s good to jump in.
While my heart is still beating deep in my chest
I can't control this world any more or less
And I'll take my time to figure out the rest
And let these memories disappear in the depths
See how high those birds can fly
We can do the same thing with our minds
And this world can be a great place to unwind
But only if your eyes are open wide.
